You do. Your clients contract and pay you directly, and you remain the primary point of contact at all times.
Elevale is designed so that resellers can sell the platform under their own brand while maintaining full control of pricing and billing.
When a customer signs up through your white-labelled platform, they select a plan using your pricing structure. The payment is processed through your connected Stripe account (or can be handled externally if preferred - see FAQ below), meaning the customer pays you directly, not Elevale. Customers begin with a 14-day free trial where their card details are securely stored but no payment is taken.
At the end of the trial, Stripe automatically charges the customer for their selected subscription. Once the first payment is successfully processed, Elevale assigns a licence from your reseller licence pool to that user. If you do not have a licence available for that tier, the system will automatically purchase one for you so the customer’s access continues without interruption.
From that point forward, the customer continues to pay you on a recurring subscription through Stripe, while Elevale simply manages the licence allocation in the background.
Within the Reseller section of the admin settings, you can choose how billing is handled by selecting either Stripe or Self Billing in the payment processing settings.
If you choose the Self Billing model, subscriptions are not handled automatically through the platform. Instead, you manage billing directly with your clients using your own systems. In this setup, you will also manually manage your licence pool, create client workspaces directly and invite clients as users.
Because payments are handled outside of Stripe, the self-serve signup and automated trial functionality are not available. This model is typically used by agencies or consultancies that work closely with a smaller number of clients and prefer to onboard them manually while managing invoicing or subscriptions through their own billing process.
