Xero - Overview

Connect a Xero organisation to sync financial KPIs such as revenue, expenses, cash position, and other accounting metrics exposed as data points. Requires [Business+] and Xero user access to the target organisation.

Metrics you can track

Connected KPIs can sync the following categories from Xero. See Data points for the complete catalog with descriptions.

  • Balance Sheet: Total Equity

  • balance_sheet: Total Assets, Total Current Assets, Total Current Liabilities, Working Capital

  • Banking: Total Bank Balance, Unreconciled Transactions

  • Cash Flow: Creditor Days, Debtor Days

  • Expenses: Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

  • Finance: Accounts Payable Total, Accounts Receivable Total, Total Liabilities, Total Payments Received

  • Financial Ratios: Current Ratio, Debt Ratio, Quick Ratio (Acid Test)

  • Inventory & Assets: Fixed Assets Value, Net Fixed Assets

  • Invoices: Average Days to Payment, Average Invoice Value, Outstanding Invoices (Value), Overdue Invoices (Count), Overdue Invoices (Value) (+2 more)

Quick start

  • Open Workspace Settings → Integrations and connect Xero.

  • Complete authentication (OAuth popup, PAT paste, or API key) and select the account, property, repo, or location when prompted.

  • On KPIs & Dashboards, create a KPI, choose Connected, and pick your Xero connection.

  • Select a data point from the catalog (see the Data points article in this folder for the full list).

  • Set a sync frequency. An initial sync runs after save; use Resync on the KPI card for on-demand updates.
