Reselling pricing and fees

Reseller economics have three revenue layers: workspace seat pricing, AI wallet usage, and (optionally) services you bundle. Elevale sets wholesale floors; you set client-facing prices above those floors.

Elevale base seat prices (your wholesale floor)

These are the minimum prices you may charge clients. In Stripe Connect mode, Elevale's share is deducted as an application fee equal to this base price per seat.

  • Foundation: £11.99 per user/month (annual equivalent £119.90)

  • Business: £17.99 per user/month (annual equivalent £179.90)

  • Professional: £23.99 per user/month (annual equivalent £239.90)

  • Enterprise: custom pricing under a separate order form

Your seat markup (Stripe Connect)

  • Set markup percentages under Reselling → Pricing for each tier.

  • Client price = base price × (1 + markup%). Example: 100% markup on Foundation → £11.99 base → £23.98 client price.

  • Your markup per seat (before local tax) ≈ base price × markup%. Your estimated net after Elevale's application fee, Stripe processing, Stripe Tax, and optional Radar is shown in the Pricing Manager.

  • Save markups, then Sync to Stripe to create or update products and prices on your Connect account.

  • See Stripe Connect setup for the full connect, tax, and sync workflow.

  • Public signup and automated subscriptions use these synced Stripe prices.

Minimum seat markup (10%)

Elevale enforces a 10% minimum markup on every seat tier when you save pricing. This is separate from Elevale's wholesale base price.

  • Elevale's application fee: fixed wholesale per seat, deducted automatically on Connect charges

  • Stripe card processing: percentage plus fixed fee per transaction

  • Stripe Tax: if enabled on your Connect account

  • Stripe Radar: optional fraud screening per transaction

Example: Business monthly at 10% markup (~£19.79 retail before local tax) leaves roughly £1.50 per seat per month net after Elevale's fee and typical UK card costs. International cards and Radar reduce that margin.

The in-app Est. net/mo line on Reselling → Pricing uses conservative UK assumptions. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.

Cancellation retention offers (higher markup required)

When a Business, Professional, or Enterprise Connect (or platform-billed) client tries to cancel, Elevale may offer a retention discount (30% → 20% → 15% off). Foundation clients never receive retention offers.

  • Client coupons do not reduce Elevale's wholesale application fee. If your markup is too thin, the discounted client payment cannot cover wholesale plus tax, so offers are hidden automatically.

  • First offer (30% off): ~43% markup required

  • Second offer (20% off): ~25% markup required

  • Third offer (15% off): ~18% markup required

  • You can save pricing at 10% markup, but retention offers stay off until markup is high enough for the next tier.

Self-Billing license wholesale

  • Purchase license packs from Elevale at wholesale under Billing.

  • You invoice clients any amount at or above the base price floor using your own contracts.

  • Unused licenses in your pool are your commercial risk until assigned.

  • See Understanding Licenses.

Stripe Connect application fee flow

  • Client pays your Stripe account the full subscription price (base + your markup).

  • Elevale automatically deducts an application fee equal to the base plan price per seat.

  • You retain the markup portion (minus Stripe fees, refunds, and disputes).

  • Requires an active Stripe Connect account. See Stripe Connect setup and Reselling → Stripe.

  • Chargebacks and fraud on client transactions are primarily your responsibility.

AI wallet economics

  • AI is usage-based, separate from seat licenses.

  • Each AI action has an Elevale cost (provider tokens + platform markup).

  • Set AI Wallet Charge Markup % under Reselling → Pricing.

  • On each client AI use: Elevale cost is deducted from your agency AI wallet; the marked-up amount is deducted from the client workspace wallet.

  • Clients only see the final per-action price after your markup.

  • You fund wholesale AI by topping up the agency wallet in Billing; clients top up their workspace wallet (Stripe) or request credits (manual).

  • See Billing models: licenses vs AI wallet for operational detail.

Minimum AI wallet markup (5%)

Elevale enforces a 5% minimum AI wallet markup when you save or schedule AI pricing. This covers Stripe wallet top-up round-trip fees before your usage margin.

Example AI markup

Typical Elevale costs before your markup (actual varies by model and prompt length):

  • AI chat message: ~$0.0125

  • Voice mode (per minute): ~$0.0350

  • Daily market intelligence scan: ~$0.0006

  • Quarterly market report: ~$0.2600

  • OKR/KPI AI insights: ~$0.0080

Scheduling seat price increases (Stripe Connect)

When you raise seat markup in Reselling → Pricing, choose a notify clients date and an effective date at least 30 days apart (effective must be on or after notify). Save & Sync creates new Stripe prices for new signups and enrolls existing Connect clients to move at renewal.

  • New signups use the new price immediately after sync.

  • Existing subscriptions keep their current price until the first renewal on or after the effective date (each client's own billing anniversary, not a shared calendar date).

  • Clients are emailed and shown an in-app banner only after the notify date, not when you save the schedule.

  • The pending schedules table shows tier, current vs new retail, notify date, and effective date.

  • After clients are notified, you can edit the effective date or cancel the schedule; clients receive updated or withdrawn notices automatically.

  • If enrollment fails for a client subscription, Pricing shows a warning count and you receive email plus in-app notification. Elevale retries failed enrollments weekly.

Scheduling AI wallet markup

Use Schedule AI pricing on Reselling → Pricing to schedule AI wallet markup changes with the same notify and effective dates.

  • Minimum save is 5% markup.

  • Professional and Enterprise client workspaces receive an AI wallet price banner in Billing after the notify date. Business and Foundation clients do not receive AI price notices.

  • The new markup applies to client AI usage after the effective date.

When Elevale raises wholesale (your retail unchanged)

Elevale may schedule a wholesale base increase for seat catalogue or AI costs. You receive email notice at the scheduled notify time, not immediately when Elevale publishes the catalogue change. Your client retail prices stay the same unless you schedule your own increase.

  • An amber wholesale increase banner appears on Reselling → Pricing with notify and effective dates.

  • If the wholesale rise would push your markup below 10% at current client retail, use Review pricing to schedule a mandatory floor increase.

  • If you prefer to keep client retail unchanged, choose Hold client prices, your markup percentage is recalculated downward while client prices stay the same (cannot go below 10%).

  • Elevale's application fee on each Connect charge updates at the client's renewal to match the new wholesale floor.

  • Run Save & Sync only when you want to change client retail; re-sync after wholesale changes even if retail is unchanged so pending migrations stay enrolled.

Monthly platform fee documentation

On Stripe Connect workspaces, Elevale's share is collected as an application fee on each paid client charge (checkout, renewal, seat add, plan change). Each month you receive a documentation invoice in Reseller Dashboard → Billing → Invoices summarising fees collected that month, a record of amounts already deducted via Stripe, not a separate seat charge. Months with zero collected fees are skipped.

Pricing rules and changes

  • Client prices must never fall below Elevale base seat prices.

  • Seat markup must be at least 10% and AI wallet markup at least 5% when saved in Reselling → Pricing.

  • Elevale may change base prices or plan features on notice; application fees and wholesale license costs adjust accordingly.

  • After you schedule a retail increase, old Connect prices for that tier stay active until pending client migrations complete.

  • No fixed margin guarantee, Stripe fees, refunds, chargebacks, and AI variability affect net revenue.

  • Full legal terms: Reseller Terms of Service sections 5–8.
