Google Analytics - Setup & usage
Sync authorised Google Analytics metrics (sessions, users, conversions, channel performance, and related reporting dimensions) into connected KPIs. Requires [Business+] and a Google account with access to the target Analytics property.
Before you connect
Confirm you can sign in to Google with an account that has at least Viewer access to the GA4 property you want to track.
Elevale requests read-only Analytics scope only - not Gmail, Drive, or other Google products.
See Google user data notice for how Google data is used and deleted.
Connect Google Analytics
Open Workspace Settings → Integrations and find Google Analytics in Available integrations.
Click Connect and complete the Google consent screen in the popup.
Allow pop-ups if your browser blocks the OAuth window.
If your Google login has access to multiple properties, choose the property to link to this workspace.
You can change the selected property later from the Connected tab.
Create connected KPIs
On KPIs & Dashboards, create or edit a KPI and choose Connected as the type.
Select your Google Analytics connection and pick a data point (metric) from the list.
Choose a sync frequency - daily is common for traffic KPIs.
Save the KPI; an initial sync runs automatically, then scheduled syncs follow your frequency.
Disconnect or reconnect
Disconnect from the Connected tab in Integrations to revoke stored OAuth tokens and stop syncs.
Previously synced KPI values remain until you delete or convert those KPIs.
If sync fails with an auth error, use Reconnect on the connection or disconnect and connect again with Google.
Troubleshooting
No properties listed - the Google account you used lacks access to any GA4 properties. Use an account with property access or ask your Analytics admin.
OAuth popup blocked - allow pop-ups for your Elevale domain and retry.
KPI shows stale or zero data - confirm the correct property is selected and the data point matches what you expect in GA4.
Sync errors after password change - reconnect the integration to refresh tokens.
Disconnect and data retention
Disconnect from Workspace Settings → Integrations to revoke stored credentials and stop scheduled syncs.
Previously synced KPI history remains until you delete or convert those KPIs.
